We told you that the State of Ohio has a new Nursing Home Navigator designed to help people select the best facility for themselves or their loved ones.
We also told you that several Portsmouth facilities only scored one out of a possible five stars. In fact, only one facility in all of Scioto County received a five-star rating from the state – Rest Haven Nursing Home in McDermott.
The facility has a 5-star health inspection report and a 92% resident satisfaction score. They also scored above average on staffing and the total nurse hours per resident per day.
Hill View Retirement Center and Portsmouth Health and Rehab in Portsmouth received 4-star ratings as did Concord Health & Rehab in Wheelersburg.
Crystal Care in Franklin Furnace also got four stars.
