However, the 82-year-old woman said she doesn’t get around well and couldn’t check for herself. Deputies headed to the home and discovered crooks had cleaned out the shed. Officers took information for a report.
A McDermott woman contacted officers at 10:30 am to report she had a video of a man and his girlfriend stealing tools from her garage. The woman said she caught the pair putting tools in their pockets and then putting the tools in their car.
Officers tried to speak to the suspects but were unable to contact them. Police asked her to send them the video and a list of missing items.
A West Portsmouth caller told officers someone attempted to break into her car which was parked on Elza Lane, and managed to break the door lock.
