Just after midnight, a caller contacted the Scioto County Sheriff’s Department to report a woman stripping down on the side of the road at US52 and St. Rte 522.
The caller said the woman was currently topless and was working on taking off her pants. A deputy searched the area of US 52 West from Center Street to the Greenup Dam but did not spot anyone naked.
Peeper Spotted on Valley Street
A woman reported a frightening incident early in the morning. She said she caught a strange man looking into her bathroom window.
She described him as having long dark hair and said he ran towards a vacant house located behind hers. She feared he was trying to get into her home.
Officers responded to the scene but were unable to locate the man.
Convicted Drunk Driver Arrested After Report She Passed Out at the Wheel
A convicted drunk driver found herself arrested for the third time this year after police received a report she passed out behind the wheel of a vehicle on 5th Street just before midnight.
Officers did not find her at the scene, but they were able to locate her on Williams Street. There was already an open warrant on the woman.
Officers arrested her for possession of drugs and driving under suspension. This was her third arrest since March. She was picked up for probation violation on March 18 and arrested on a bench warrant stemming from a DUI case on March 1.
She pleaded “no contest” to a charge of driving under the influence back in October of last year and was sentenced to 60 days in jail, court costs, and a $375 fine. Fifty-seven of those 60 days were suspended
