Wayne Ray Vaughters, 62, of Wheelersburg, passed away on January 8, 2024, at his residence. He was born September 1, 1961, in Portsmouth, a son of the late James and Sharon Barnett Vaughters.
He was a 1979 graduate of Wheelersburg High School having excelled as one of their top baseball players. He enjoyed all sports as well as hunting and fishing.
Wayne is survived by his longtime companion, Tina White; 2 sons, Nathan Vaughters and Brandon Vaughters both of Wheelersburg; 2 daughters, Maggie Sapp of Wheelersburg and Sydney Vaughters of Minford; a brother Jody Vaughters and wife Cashawna of Wheelersburg; a sister Vanessa Ware and husband Scott of Hurricane, WV and 10 grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by a brother, Mark Vaughters.
There will be a gathering of family and friends from 5 to 7 PM on Thursday, January 11, 2024, at D.W. SWICK FUNERAL HOME in Wheelersburg.
