Domestic violence calls are a part of every officer’s workday, but most of the time the altercations turn out to be verbal. That was not the case when police were called to the Woodbine apartments for a report of a pair arguing.

Witnesses said the woman had a knife. When police arrived at the scene, they took Destiny Keplinger into custody for domestic violence and booked her into the Scioto County Jail.

Keplinger was previously arrested for domestic violence, falsification, and criminal trespass back in 2021.

She appeared in Portsmouth Municipal Court on Monday morning. The court issued a temporary protection order against her and set her pre-trial hearing for 10-17.
