Woman Booted From Domestic Violence Shelter For Drug Use

A local domestic violence shelter contacted police just before 11 am. The shelter said a client was using drugs, and they wanted her removed because she was under the influence. 

Officers removed her, and she agreed to go to a local counseling center for treatment. 

Overdose Victim Revived on 9th Street

Police and Medics responded to the 1600 block of 6th Street at 3:35 am for a report of an overdose. 

However, people on the scene administered Narcan to revive the man, and he took off before police and medical personnel arrived.

Man Goes Missing From Rehab

A worried caseworker contacted Portsmouth Police after a man went missing from a local addiction treatment center. 

He had attended a group meeting the day before but had failed to show up for work afterward. The man’s mother also reported he sent a goodbye message and deleted his Facebook account. 

After verifying the man was not incarcerated, officers checked his place of work and took information for a report.
