Woman in Bra Wanders Into Traffic, Jumps Into Creek in McDermott
A woman wearing a bra and shorts caused quite a stir in McDermott just after 1 pm. Witnesses said she was walking in and out of traffic and yelling at vehicles as they passed.
When an officer stopped her on the bridge over Brush Creek, she yelled at him and took off running. She jumped into the creek and was later spotted wandering through backyards on Simpson Road.
She then headed south back across the creek, and officers tried to get ahead of her to block her off. Deputies were unable to locate her and determined she was probably in the woods.
Around 4 pm, the woman’s mother reported she’d turned up at her house and was tearing up the place. Officers took the woman into custody.
Deputies Investigate Horses In Cornfield
Deputies investigated one of the most country crimes we’ve heard in a long time.
At 7:30 pm, a St. Rte. 104 resident reported that his neighbor’s kids were riding horses in his cornfield. He said he’d warned the kids to stay out of the field before.
A deputy searched the area for the young riders and gave them a warning about riding in other people’s fields. They promised to stay out of the corn.
