1 Woman Injured Saving Brother From Suicide Attempt
A woman sustained a pretty nasty cut while saving her brother from harming himself early Wednesday morning.
EMS personnel responded to the home just after 1 am and immediately sent for a deputy when they learned the woman had cut herself while stopping her brother from committing suicide. The brother was not injured.
Officers arranged treatment for both parties.
2 Man Arrested After Disturbance at Brew Pub
Police responded to the Brew Put on 2nd Street after a report of a man causing a disturbance inside the bar.
Police arrested a 39-year-old man on charges of disorderly conduct, criminal trespass, and probation violation. Police also arrested him last July for resisting arrest.
3 Fake Money Passed at Boland’s Mini Mart
Just before 1 pm, deputies responded to Boland’s Mini Mart on US Hwy 52 after a report that a customer paid with a counterfeit $50 bill and then left the scene in a blue Ford pickup truck.
A deputy impounded the fake money, but the owner of the store said they did not want to press charges.
