A woman on probation for a 2020 conviction for domestic violence was taken into custody after an incident in a PHMA Apartment on Kendall Avenue.
Just before 11 am, Portsmouth Police Officers responded to a report of a one-legged man in a wheelchair screaming and yelling. A manager told officers the man was not a tenant.
A second caller informed police that a woman in the apartment was wanted for domestic violence.
Officers took the woman into custody for probation violation in a domestic violence case. Officers also confirmed an open warrant from the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
Police took Elizabeth Monk into custody and transported her to the Scioto County Jail.
Officers were able to resolve the issue with the screaming man without writing a report.
