A woman called 911 to report her father was violating a protection order with some bizarre behavior. She told officers the man kept getting in her trash and scattering it all over the place.
She told officers she had a protection order against the man. However, when officers looked into it, they didn’t see one on file. They advised her to contact the court to find out what the status of the order was.
Police were called to another family problem just a few minutes later. A woman said she was trying to visit her children, but her estranged husband was yelling at her and making it difficult.
Officers learned she hadn’t lived at the home or been part of the children’s lives for two years. Police told her there was nothing they could do to help and that she should contact the court for visitation issues. They advised the father that he was not obligated to allow her at the house if she was causing problems.
