Woman Says Restaurant Owner Assaulted Her

A woman contacted the Scioto County Sheriff’s Office at 10:20 am to report that the owner of a South Webster restaurant assaulted her.

She claimed the owner shoved her and hit her in the chest. She said she’d recently had heart surgery and needed a rescue squad.

However, the restaurant owner had a different version of events, and there were no witnesses. Medics checked the woman out, but they did not transport her to the hospital.

Drama at the CVS

The CVS on the Scioto Trail was busy, but not in a good way.

Just after 9 am, officers responded to a report that people were fighting over groceries in the parking lot. A witness told police that a woman took groceries away from a male and hit him.

However, a worker at the store said the woman bought the groceries, the male stole them from her, and she took them back.

Just after 4 pm, the store reported that a woman in a red hoodie was putting items in her shoulder bag. However, by the time officers arrived, the woman had left. However, employees had managed to get the things she took back from her before she left.

Another shoplifter hit the Marathon on the Scioto Trail. This time, he put three Reese’s ice cream bars in his pocket, hopped in an older Mercury, and took off up Coles Blvd. Police were not able to locate him.
