Woman Threatens to Stab Dog
Officers headed to 5th Street just before 8:30 pm after a caller said a woman came into her house and threatened to stab her dog before leaving.
The caller said the woman took her dog with her. When officers investigated, they learned this was a dispute over the ownership of the dog.
Man Rampages With Truck on 3rd Street
An angry man caused a big scare on 3rd Street just before 10 pm. Multiple callers said he was driving a truck erratically around the neighborhood.
At 9:15 pm, officers received a report of a man and woman fighting at 3rd and Brown. Witnesses said the man tried to run the woman over.
At 9:52 pm, a caller said the man threatened a group of kids by saying he would run the truck through their house and attempted to hit them with the truck.
Another caller reported that the man also almost hit one of the workers at Stadium Lunch. Witnesses gave police the name and address of the suspect. Officers took information for a report.
Car Break-In Spree Targets Portsmouth
Thieves targeted multiple vehicle around Portsmouth over the weekend.
At 11:41 am on Friday, a caller in the 1600 block of Highland reported someone had broken into their vehicle and taken multiple items. Officers took information for a report.
At 11:44 pm, a caller at Bob Evens reported someone broke the window to her vehicle, but it didn’t appear they’d gotten away with anything. Officers took information for a report.
A caller at Frank & Steins Lounge called at 11:49 to report someone had broken into a truck and stolen a phone.
Early Sunday morning, a caller reported someone broke into a vehicle parked in front of Shamrock Tattoos. The reporting party did not wish to make a police report.
