Neither the Scioto County Jail nor a local hospital wanted to deal with a woman apparently having a mental health crisis.
The woman came into the lobby of the Scioto County Jail and attempted to turn herself in on a warrant. When deputies found no warrant and asked her to leave, the woman refused. Officers noted she appeared to be on drugs, and she said she was scheduled to go to rehab in the morning.
She requested to go to a hospital, so an officer took her up the street to KDMC. Medical personnel called back about an hour later, asking officers to come fetch the woman. They said deputies should transport the woman to rehab.
A deputy picked up the woman and dropped her off at a local rehab facility a few minutes later.
