100 MPH Police Chase on St. Rte. 104
Officers took part in a high-speed police chase on St. Rte. 104 just after 1 am. At 1:14 am, OSP advised they were chasing a blue Hyundai reported stolen from Waverly, and that speeds were reaching 100 mph.
OSP set up spikes just north of the Briar Patch, and a deputy spotted the vehicle pulling into a driveway south of Tow Path Ready Mix in Lucasville.
Deputies detained one man at the scene, but two others took off on foot. Deputies launched a hunt for the suspects and rounded the other two guys up within half an hour.
Woman Followed by Suspicious SUV
A frightened woman headed to the Porter Fire Department for refuge after she said she was followed by a suspicious vehicle.
She told officers a black 4-door Jeep followed her from the New Boston Walmart to Wheelersburg. When she pulled into the Wheelersburg Wendy’s, the Jeep braked hard and then followed her before parking.
The driver then followed her to the fire department before taking off. Officers searched the area but could not locate the vehicle.
