Two local teens are facing adult-sized consequences after being indicted for a terrifying attempted murder plot straight out of a crime thriller. Authorities say the 17-year-olds fired off 36 bullets in a dramatic drive-by shooting that rocked Lett Terrace in West Portsmouth — and now, they’re headed to court.
Carl George and Brysen Knighten, both just 17, were officially indicted by a Scioto County Grand Jury and slapped with a long list of serious charges, including:
- 2 Counts of Attempted Murder
- 2 Counts of Felonious Assault
- Improperly Discharging a Firearm at or Into a Habitation or School Zone
- Tampering with Evidence
- Having Weapons While Under Disability
- 3 Counts of Criminal Damaging or Endangering
The duo will appear in Scioto County Common Pleas Court on July 8.
We first broke the story back in December 2024, when word spread that a group of women allegedly lured two male victims from a gas station with flirty chatter — only to lead them straight into a deadly ambush. Once at the PMHA housing complex in West Portsmouth, five armed suspects opened fire, spraying bullets in a hailstorm of violence.
MEET THE ACCUSED:
Three women and two more men were also charged in connection to the plot:
- Chloe Williams, 23, is a mother of three, a nail tech by trade, and until now, had no adult criminal record.
- Hayley Will, 26, of Lett Terrace, also appears squeaky clean on paper.
- Torrie Woodrow, 21, went to Portsmouth High and a local beauty academy — no rap sheet, either.
But now, all three women face Attempted Murder and Conspiracy to Commit Murder charges. All of the women were released on bond earlier in the year.
THE REST OF THE CREW:
- Kaeden Borders, 18, and Cody Milum, 19, both with clean records before this, are now facing attempted murder and assault charges.
- Trevon Watts, 26, is no stranger to the justice system. He’s been arrested before for attempted burglary, criminal damage, drug abuse, and more — plus an open warrant out of Dayton. His latest additions: attempted murder and felonious assault.
Authorities say the shocking attack was premeditated, vicious, and disturbingly well-organized — involving deception, a lure, and a violent takedown.
We’ll keep you updated with new developments as they happen.
