What Happened That Night

On November 15, 2024, Scioto County deputies responded to a 911 call just before 8 p.m. A witness told dispatchers he had been robbed at gunpoint while traveling with a pregnant woman. When officers and EMS arrived, they discovered Ronnie Rowe, 24, dead in the driver’s seat of an SUV riddled with bullet holes.

The Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI) was called to help process the chaotic scene. Investigators quickly learned Carver had been inside the vehicle with Rowe before fleeing on foot. Deputies located him walking along U.S. 52 and took him into custody.

The Alleged Robbery and Shooting

According to the indictment, McCall and Robertson acted as accomplices in the robbery. Prosecutors allege that as the group attempted to flee the scene, Carver opened fire into Rowe’s vehicle, fatally striking him.
