On Saturday, July 22nd, at 9:51 p.m., the Scioto County Sheriff’s Office received a distressing 911 call from family members, reporting the discovery of their son’s lifeless body at his residence on McLaughlin Rd. in Lucasville. Upon receiving the call deputies urgently went to the scene.
Deputies found one individual deceased inside a camper, as indicated by the family members’ initial report. Concerned for the safety of others, deputies proceeded to check a second camper on the property. To their dismay, two more lifeless bodies were discovered inside the second camper.
Detectives from the Scioto County Sheriff’s Office called for the assistance of the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigations (BCI) to aid in the investigation. Additionally, Scioto County Coroner Dr. Adams was present at the scene and ordered the bodies of the deceased to be transported to the Montgomery County Coroner’s Office for autopsy.
The deceased individuals have been identified as Heather James, 45, Pete O’Brian Eldridge, 35, and James (Jay) Andronis, 68. All three resided at the McLaughlin Rd. location where the incident occurred.
No information was given about the “How” and “Why” of the tragedy. Sheriff Thoroughman emphasized that the investigation is ongoing, and urged anyone with information related to the case to come forward and contact Detective Ethan Carmichael at 740-354-7346.
