Deputies offered a helping hand to a woman walking barefoot along St. Rte. 140.
Just after 4 am, a caller reported a woman with no shoes walking along the highway with a thin blanket wrapped around her.
They requested deputies perform a welfare check.

A deputy caught up with the woman near Turkey Foot Road. She said she was attempting to walk to South Webster.
The deputy gave the woman a ride to a store in South Webster.
