Men Arrested For Domestic Violence & Endangering Children
Officers dealt with multiple domestic violence cases this weekend and took four men into custody.
The first call came in just after 2 am on Friday, and Portsmouth Police Officers arrested a 34-year-old man on domestic violence charges as a result.
It all started when a woman contacted officers to advise them that Donald Blackburn was messing around outside their home. The caller further advised officers that there was an open warrant for the man.
Officers located the man driving a rental vehicle at Subway and then followed it. Officers stopped him and took him into custody for violating a protection order and domestic violence.
Police could not contact the rental car company, so they arranged for the vehicle to be towed to the impound lot.
Blackburn was booked into the jail on two charges of domestic violence and two charges of violating a protection order.
Officers arrested him back on September 29 for violating a protection order and making a domestic threat. He served 7 days in jail and was released on October 6.
Eight hours later, just after 10:30 am, another woman contacted police to say she’d fled a domestic altercation with her children and that the man was still in the home.
Officers responded to the scene and took 28-year-old Andrew Fowler into custody for domestic violence, endangering children, and making a domestic threat. The court set his bond at $10,000.
At 11 am on Sunday, officers responded to a report of a domestic incident on Kendall Avenue. They arrested a 49-year-old man on a domestic violence charge.
Later that afternoon, a Walnut Street caller told police her husband had hit her in the face. When police arrived at the scene, the man took off, but officers followed him down the street and took him into custody for domestic violence and violating a protection order.
