Brenda Sue Wickersham, age 66, of Otway, Ohio went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December 14, 2022. Brenda was born on January 25, 1956 in Hialeah, Florida and raised by her parents Glenn and Florence Stowers. She is survived by her loving husband of 44 years, Charles Wickersham.
Brenda loved her two children Dawna (Lloyd) Cantrell of Otway and David (Angel) Wickersham of Steubenville. Ohio. She was proud of her grandchildren Ashley, Allie, and Alex Cantrell, Shauna (Frankie), Izack, Morgan McClurg (Lamar Tinsley), Nikki Elrod, Angelina Pick, and William Clay. She loved spending time with them and was thankful for the joy they brought into her life.
Brenda was preceded in death by her parents Glenn and Florence Stowers, her biological parents Comer Barker and Barbara Anne Wear, her sister Sylvia Borges, and grandson Rusty Conley. She is survived by five brothers Mark, Brian, Dale, Andrew, and Ray and five sisters Bella, Jesse, Connie, Vicki and Anne all of whom she was blessed to learn of late in life.
Brenda was a faithful member of Hills Chapel and loved serving the Lord and serving others. She was an avid reader and loved to study the Bible. She faithfully served in any position necessary including Sunday School Teacher, song leader, piano player, as well as hosted and helped direct the church’s Operation Christmas Child Ministry.
Brenda was known for her sense of humor and her unquestionable love for other people. She was also known for her love to cook and host people in her home. Brenda and Charlie are loved by both their church family at Hills Chapel and Camp Family at Mt. Hope Bible Camp. She will be dearly missed by everyone who knew her, especially her close friend Judy Hummer.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 20, 2022 at Hills Chapel in Otway with Pastor Jonathan King officiating. Burial will follow in Koenig Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday, December 19, 2022 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Hills Chapel and for one hour prior to the service on Tuesday.
