1 Bloody Woman Flees Violent Attack
A man is back behind bars for the 11th time after a domestic violence incident.
Just before 4 pm, a witness reported a woman with a bloody face running barefoot down Center Street screaming for help. A man chased after her and dragged her back into the house by her hair.
When officers arrived at the scene, James Loper, who had an open warrant for failure to appear, was taken into custody and also charged with domestic violence.
Loper remains in the Scioto County Jail on a $27,000 bond.
2 2 Busted For Trespassing in Public Housing
People going into empty apartments for illicit activity has been a continuing problem for PMHA, and officers caught two individuals in the act just after 9 am.
PMHA Security alerted police to check a 14th Street apartment, and when officers arrived, they found two individuals inside. PMHA had previously banned both of them from their property.
Officers arrested Lyndsey Knueven and Herbert Maxwell and took them to the Scioto County Jail.
Knueven, 27, was charged with criminal trespass and probation violation and then released per the court.
Officers charged Markwell, 50, with criminal trespass and possessing drug paraphernalia. This was his 13th arrest. Police picked him up back in July for contempt, and he was arrested 4 times in 2021 on charges ranging from drug possession to trespass to probation violation.
