Body Discovered on Riverbank
Officials are investigating after a body was discovered on the banks of the Ohio River on Friday afternoon.
According to the Ironton Police Department, the body was discovered behind the floodwall on Second Street on the northside of Ironton.
The Lawrence County Coroner has taken custody of the deceased and an autopsy will be conducted in the coming days.

Police offered no information on the sex or age of the deceased but said the investigation is ongoing.
