Police Pursuit Ends in Mabert Road Motorcycle Crash
A police pursuit with speeds said to exceed 100 mph ended with a motorcycle crash on Mabert Road just before 2 pm.
At 2 pm, an NBPD officer chased a motorcyclist into Portsmouth and down the Mabert Road, which dead-ends to a dirt road, where the cyclist crashed.
Officers captured him after a short foot pursuit and requested an ambulance to check on him.
Unconscious Woman Reported on Wilson Avenue
At 2:12 am, officers and EMS headed to Wilson Avenue for a report of an unconscious woman.
When PPD arrived on the scene, they learned the woman had an open warrant from Pike County. Officers transported the woman to the county line, where they met up with Pike County Deputies.
Police handed the woman over to Pike County law enforcement.
Golf Cart Crashes Into Parked Car
Just after 12:30 pm, police responded to Stewart Avenue for a report that a woman had crashed a golf cart into a parked car.
Officers responded to the driver’s home and issued a citation for operating a golf cart without inspection, driving without a license, failure to have insurance, and failure to control.
Police took information for a report.
