Cops Called After 10-year-old Throws Fit
Just before 8:30 pm, officers were called to intervene when a 10-year-old threw a fit, lay down on the ground and refused to leave with their guardian. Witnesses said the child was hitting the adult.
Police said they’d had contact with the child before, and the kid doesn’t like to follow the adult’s rules. Officers said they had given the guardian referrals to places to seek help.
Officers Break Down Door To Help Patient
Just before 9 am, police responded to a Bloom Street home to assist medics from Portsmouth Ambulance.
They told officers they were unable to get into the home to help their patient.
The patient gave police permission to enter the home, and officers were able to make entry and allow medics to help the resident.
Desperate Mom Seeks Help For Troubled Son
A desperate mom contacted 911 at noon to say that her adult son was having a mental health crisis and needed to be involuntarily committed. She said this move was at the suggestion of the man’s counselor.
Officers confirmed she had guardianship of her son and dispatched an ambulance to the home. Medics transported the troubled man to the hospital.
Abandoned Vehicles Irritate Residents
Officers responded to multiple reports of abandoned vehicles in a thirty minute period.
At 1:05 pm a caller reported a red car hauler had been parked on Baird Avenue for weeks. Police said the hauler appeared to be parked legally, but since it was not attached to a vehicle there was a parking time limit. They marked the hauler to check back later.
At 1:07 pm, officers investigated a report of a car abandoned on Argonne Road for three months. Police arranged for the vehicle to be towed.
At 1:25 pm, New Boston Police impounded a homemade trailer with no visible VIN number. The trailer had T-580 written on the left front and was hauling a scrap air conditioning unit.
