Just after 4:30 a.m., Scioto County deputies rolled up to Loan Central in Wheelersburg after a caller reported some seriously sketchy behavior in the early morning hours. When officers arrived, they didn’t find a break-in—but they did find two underage boys who clearly had no business being out at that hour.
Deputies quickly determined the teens weren’t up to anything criminal… but also weren’t where they were supposed to be. So, the late-night babysitting shift began.
🚓 One was chauffeured to his grandmother’s house in Portsmouth, where she agreed to take him into custody with a firm reminder about curfews. The other was dropped off at his mom’s place, and both sets of guardians got the full rundown from deputies.
🔔 Parents, take note:
If your kids are sneaking out after dark, make sure they understand the risks. Not every 4:30 a.m. story ends this harmlessly.
💬 Deputies were praised for their quick response and calm handling of the situation—no arrests, just accountability and some much-needed adult supervision.
Bottom Line:
Stay home. Stay safe. And remember…
🕛 Nothing good ever happens after midnight.
