Aaron Lee Baer, 62, of Wheelersburg, passed away July 4th, 2023 at his residence. He was born May 12, 1961, in Portsmouth, Ohio, the son of the late Robert Joseph Baer and Virginia Ilene Oiler Baer.
He attended Lindsay Grade School, then moved to Ashley Corner and attended South Webster in the 7th grade, and graduated from Bloom Vernon High School in 1979. He attended Asbury College and Free Will Baptist Bible College. He served in the Army National Guard. He worked at Chillicothe Correctional Institution and retired with a coronary disability.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter Patrice Baer; grandparents Oscar & Ruby Townsend Baer, James & Kathryn Yeley Oiler.
Surviving are his children & spouses: Jacob & Rachel Baer of Minford & Cory & Elisha Allen of Piketon, 5 grandsons: Andrew Baer, Elijah Baer, Levi Allen, Lucas Allen & Leeland Allen, sister Amber Baer Barker of Hilliard, 2 brothers & spouses: Mark & Deborah Brown Baer of Lucasville, Daniel & Debra Born Baer of Gastonia, North Carolina, one aunt Wilma & Paul Hieneman of Wheelersburg. The mother of his children: Kathy Spencer Baer of Waverly, & several nieces, nephews, & cousins.
The funeral service will be Thursday, July 6 at 1:00 P.M. with visitation from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM at Bloom Free Will Baptist Church with Brian Baer, Aaron’s nephew, and his cousin Chris Oiler officiating.
