Alice Shirline “Shirley” Belcher, age 79, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 8, 2025, at Concord Rehabilitation Center of Wheelersburg, Ohio. She was born December 29, 1945, to the late Charles Monroe and Bonnie (Greene) Monroe of Sciotoville. She loved to crochet, work outdoors, and take care of others. Shirley ran a daycare in her home for many years. She loved her children, grandchildren, siblings, and family very much.
In addition to her parents, she was proceeded in death by her siblings, sister, Wanda Dodds, brothers, Walt and Carlos Monroe, and her daughter-in-law, Angie Salisbury. Surviving are two sons, Mark Salisbury of Lucasville and Donnie Salisbury of New Boston; three brothers, Charles (Karen) Monroe of Grove City, Richard (Yong) Monroe of Indianapolis, Eddie Monroe of Sciotoville; three sisters, Mary Martin of Wheelersburg, Beverly (Roy) Mullins of Grove City, Cheryl (Tim) Feeman of Wheelersburg; four grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
A service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 10th, at the BRANT FUNERAL SERVICE in Sciotoville with Reverend Mark Bales officiating.
Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive guests at Brant’s from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Thursday. Shirley’s family would publicly like to say thank you to the dedicated staff at Concord, as well as nursing staff of SOMC Hospice for their outstanding care of Shirley.
