Allan Anthony Lee Pfau, 75
Allan Anthony Lee Pfau, 75, of West Portsmouth, passed away Wednesday, December 31, 2025, at SOMC Hospice. He was born on October 9, 1950, in Portsmouth, to the late Jacob and Rose Martha Hammonds Pfau.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Michael Pfau, and a sister, Tomyia Lynn Craycraft.
Allan was a 1969 graduate of Portsmouth West High School. Following graduation, he began a long and dedicated career at the Southern Ohio Correctional Facility, where he worked for 31 years and as a Special Deputy for the Scioto County Sheriff’s Department. After his retirement, he returned to the workforce with PMHA, where he was employed for an additional 12 years before retiring again. He enjoyed the outdoors and loved hunting and fishing. He was a talented artist with a deep appreciation for nature and photography, often finding beauty in the simplest moments. Music was also an important part of Allan’s life, as he enjoyed listening to music and the memories and emotions it brought him. Above all else, Allan cherished his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who were truly the pride and joy of his life.
He is survived by his son, Jeremy (Davida) Pfau; his daughter, Tammy “Ani” (Tim) Brown; his grandchildren, Brittany (Jacob) Haveraneck, Katelan (Patrick) Bays, Ashlynn Pfau, Tiesha (Cody) Foran, Jacob Brown, Moya Brown, Travis Brown, and Ryan Brown; his great-grandchildren, Mavrik Haveraneck, Easton Bays, Jetson Bays, Eli Foran, Karson Slone, Jonah Slone, and Mya Foran; two sisters, April (James) Thurman and Amelia “Pizzie” Georgiadis; along with several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Tuesday, January 6, 2026, at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth, with burial to follow at Scioto Burial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Monday and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday. In lieu of flowers the family asks for donations to be made to SOMC Hospice and USSA Adult Day Center at PO Box 597, Portsmouth Ohio, 45662.
