Allen Leon McGahan, 77, of South Webster, passed away Thursday, January 25, 2024, at Best Care Health and Rehab in Wheelersburg. Allen was born September 23, 1946, in Scioto County to the late Leonidas Kermit McGahan and Effie Francis Wesley McGahan.
Allen retired as a custodian at Wheelersburg High School after 17 years and worked at Bihl’s Farm since he was 16.
In addition to his parents, Allen was preceded in death by four brothers, Ken, Jack, Hoy, and Edward McGahan, and three sisters, Freda Bright, Shirley Gutierrez, and Anna McGahan. Allen is survived by his wife of 51 years, Rosemary Rawlins McGahan, whom he married on January 27, 1973, in Garden City. He is also survived by two sons, Ryan and Stephanie McGahan of Wheelersburg and Brandon and Elisa McGahan of PA; a brother, Ike and Shirley McGahan; a sister, Susan Sweeney and four grandchildren, Peyton, Brody, Benjamin, and Emma.
Services for Allen will be at 1:00 pm Wednesday, January 31, 2024, at Harrison-Pyles Funeral Home in Wheelersburg with Pastor Shawn Howard Officiating. Interment will be in South Webster Cemetery.
