Amanda Marie Cooper, 44, of Blue Creek, passed away on Sunday, October 1, 2023, as the result of an automobile accident on State Route 125. She was born on July 31, 1979, in Portsmouth, the daughter of Jeffrey Dean Cooper and the late Tina Marie Knox Cooper.
Amanda was a 1998 graduate of Portsmouth West High School and the former Scioto County JVS. She worked as a home health aide for IHS Services and she took care of her sister for many years. Amanda loved shopping and animals, and she had been a Girl Scout volunteer. Her main focus, however, was on her family and she was passionate about spending time with her grandchildren.
Surviving is her fiancé and longtime companion, Dewran Jacob Liddle, and their sons, Brandon Todd Liddle of Portsmouth and Matthew Dewran (Haley Lemon) Liddle of West Portsmouth; her father, Jeffrey Dean (Dreama) Cooper of Garrison, KY, two nieces whom she reared, Hailey Bentley of Blue Creek and Alexis (Chandler) Anderson of Wheelersburg; her maternal grandmother, Mary Knox of Blue Creek; four siblings, Jeremy Cooper of Blue Creek, Zachery Dean (Brooklyn Bradley) Cooper of Friendship, Misty Susan Cooper of Blue Creek and Courtney Lynn Cooper of Columbus; three beloved grandchildren, Aaron Lemon, Ashlynn White and Iris Lemon-Liddle; a special cousin, Kyle Knox of West Union; best friends, Laura Pitts of Portsmouth and Tonya Holsinger of West Portsmouth; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and their families; and her cherished dog, Baby.
In addition to her mother, Tina Knox Cooper, Amanda was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, John Knox, and paternal grandparents, Otto and Phyllis Cooper; and a special uncle, Keith Knox.
Funeral services will be held at 6 P.M. on Friday at the Ralph F. Scott Funeral Home in Portsmouth.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 3 P.M. until the service hour.
