Angla Lynn Leatherman, 63, of Portsmouth, passed away at the SOMC Hospice Center on Saturday, April 19, 2025, with family by her side.
She was born in Portsmouth on June 19, 1961, to the late Anna Faye Diddle Parker and Earl Thomas Greene. She is survived by her beloved Daddy, James L. Parker of Portsmouth.
Angla attended Portsmouth High School, and she graduated from the former Southeastern Business College with an associate degree in business management. She loved to cook and enjoyed gardening, crafts and thrift shopping. She had formerly participated in a bowling league and worked as a lifeguard at McKinley Pool.
Also surviving are her daughters, LaToya E. (Jeremy Diller) Cave of Stout, Amanda L. (Clint Askew) Cave of Portsmouth, and Dawnricka N. Greene of New Boston; a nephew whom she reared, Darius Greene of Stout; and two siblings, DonRicko Greene of Sciotoville and Pamela Leatherman of New Boston; four grandchildren, Jayla McGraw, Ashayla Adia, Messina Askew and Sienna Askew; and several stepsiblings.
Angla was also preceded in death by her sister, Shelia M. Greene; a grandson, Jayson McGraw; and her beloved dog, Rosie Posie Puddin Pie.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, April 24, 2025, at the Ralph F. Scott Funeral Home in Portsmouth.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to services.
