Animal Abuse Complaint on Wamsley Lane
Deputies investigated a report of animal abuse on Wamsley Road just before 7 pm. There have been previous complaints about the condition of dogs at the home, and the Dog Warden asked deputies to go back to the home to see if the dogs were still outside in the cold and rain.
Deputies noted the dogs were still outside. The dog warden had previously left a note asking the resident to contact her.
When the deputy failed to speak to the owner, the Dog Warden decided to contact the humane agent about removing the dogs from the property.
A deputy finally managed to speak to the owner, who said she would put the dogs inside for the night. Officers told her a humane agent would be visiting the next day.
