Annalee “Annie” Roberts-Kitchen of South Shore, KY, born April 11, 1937, passed away Monday, August 1, 2022, at the age of 85. She was the daughter of Dorsey and Dovie Roberts who preceded her in death.
Annie loved the Lord. Her verse for the past few years was he will never leave you or forsake you. She would say the verse to everyone she met.
Annie enjoyed playing guitar, singing and traveling the countryside praising the Lord with her family, and dancing at the barn. Together, they made four albums. Her contagious spirit rubbed off on everyone she met. The only thing she loved more than her children was the Lord. She will be missed by many. Anyone who met her loved her, the memories made traveling and singing could fill a book. The one thing she would say is, I am feeling mighty fine and she loved to sing that song.
She was preceded in death by two daughters, Linda Barga and Susan Cantrell, two grandsons, David Barga and Tyler Cantrell, and seven brothers, Boone, Lewis, Albert, Chet, Bobby, Delbert, and Harlan.
Surviving are eight children, Ruth (Ben) Carver of Franklin Furnace, Ohio, Jackie Miller of Covington, Ohio, Mark Gibson of Bradford, Ohio, Bonnie Layne of South Shore, KY, Jon (Trina) Harr of South Shore, KY, Lisa (JC) Clark of Marion, Ohio, Karon (John) Hannah of South Shore, KY, Jodi (Rick) Cantrell of Sidney, Ohio and a great-grandson she raised as her own, Ashton Kitchen, three brothers, Conley Roberts, Duke Roberts, and Eston Roberts, one sister, Elaree Yates, 28 grandchildren, 43 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great-grandchildren.
