Portsmouth Police Officers responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle just before 2 a.m. A caller said there were loud individuals doing something to a vehicle in a Wayne Hills parking lot and that there appeared to be a man passed out in the vehicle.
When officers arrived at the scene at 2:15 am, they discovered one man asleep in the driver’s seat and another working on the vehicle.
Officers woke the man behind the wheel, who appeared to be okay, and sent both men inside for the night.
Woman Reports Cable Company For Theft
Many of us consider our cable bills to be highway robbery, but a Gallia Pike resident took that literally.
She contacted deputies at 11 am to report someone took money off her debit card overnight. She’d made a similar complaint two days earlier.
When deputies investigated, they learned the money was not stolen. She’d attempted to cancel the payment on her Spectrum bill, but the money was still withdrawn.
Deputies advised her it was a civil issue between her and the cable company.
