A late-night emergency at the Minford Fire Department turned into an arrest at a local pizza joint.
Just before 9 p.m., a woman showed up at the fire station, telling firefighters she had been assaulted. She was too shaken to share details at the time, but deputies from the Scioto County Sheriff’s Office were quickly called in.
Investigators traced the case to an address on Millers Run Back Run, before heading to Home Town Pizza, where the suspect was reportedly with family. Deputies read Gary Holsinger his rights and took him into custody on an assault charge.
Holsinger was booked into the Scioto County Jail and later appeared before Portsmouth Municipal Court. The judge released him on his own recognizance, with a pre-trial hearing now set for October 14.
