A judge declared three people indicted in the death of a baby indigent and set their bail at a court hearing.
The parents of a one-month-old baby, as well as the man prosecutors say was in an agreement with CPS to provide care for the infant and supervise any conduct with its mother, faced a Scioto County Common Pleas Court judge on involuntary manslaughter charges, child endangerment, and obstructing justice charges.
The child’s father, Adam Greene, 30, is charged with involuntary manslaughter, obstructing justice, and child endangerment. Mother Amber Mick, 30, is charged with involuntary manslaughter, drug possession, obstructing justice, and endangering children.
Strother Craft, whom prosecutors say was supposed to supervise the baby, is charged with involuntary manslaughter, obstructing justice and endangering children.
Craft appeared in Scioto County Common Pleas Court and entered a plea of not guilty. Judge Mark Kuhn ruled Craft indigent and set his bond at $100,000.
Adam Green also appeared before Judge Kuhn. The judge declared him indigent and appointed a public defender. The court set his bond at $100,000. The court found Amber Mick indigent as well and appointed an attorney to represent her. Mick’s bond was set at $250,000. However, all three defendants remain in the Scioto County Jail.
All three are due back in court for a pre-trial hearing on September 26.
