Barbara Carol Perry Kornhoff, 77, of Portsmouth, died Thursday, January 27, 2022, at SOMC.
Carol was born November 8, 1944, in Portsmouth, a daughter of the late James D. Truman and Ethel (Loop) Truman.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a daughter, Barbara Joann Perry, granddaughter, Barbie Annette Pickelsimer, grandson, Michael Anthony Perry, one great-grandson Emmett Sanford, and four brothers; Curtis, Ronnie, and Gary Truman, all of Portsmouth, and Bob Truman, of North Carolina, and one sister, Crystal Truman, of Portsmouth.
Carol is survived by her husband, Michael “Mick” Kornhoff of Portsmouth, four daughters; Tina Pollard (Jamie) of Otway, Lisa, Ginger (George), Tara Perry, all of Portsmouth, stepdaughter, Julie Kornhoff of LaCruse, NM, stepson, Ray Kornhoff of Bryan, TX, one granddaughter, LaBree Sanford, two grandsons; Bryan Pollard, Tyler Bowens, all of Portsmouth, two step grandsons; William and Michael Kornhoff of Bryan, TX and one great-grandson Troy Pollard of Portsmouth. She is also survived by six sisters; Jean Hendricks of Johnson City, TN, Margaret Campbell, Kathy Parker, and Gail Stidham, all of Portsmouth, Kay Whisman of Blue Creek, Sherry Blevins of Wheelersburg, and one brother, Donnie Truman of Portsmouth.
Carol had worked at Professional Case Management, Best Care Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, and Southern Ohio Medical Center.
Funeral Services will be 11:00 AM Tuesday, February 1, 2022 at Melcher Hammer Funeral Home in Portsmouth. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery in Portsmouth. A visitation for friends and family will be from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, Monday, January 31, 2022 at the funeral home.
