Benjamin V. Potter, 81, of South Shore, Kentucky passed away, Jan. 14, 2021, in South Shore Nursing and Rehab. He was born in Greenup County, Sept. 30, 1939, a son of the late Clyde Potter and Nellie Dillow Potter. Bennie was retired from the N & W Railroad and a member of the Allen Chapel Church of Christ and a founding member of the Maloneton Volunteer Fire Dept.
Preceded in death besides his parents are two brothers, Burton Potter and Landon Potter, one sister, Julia Boggs.
Surviving are his wife of 61 years, Marjorie Abdon Potter, three daughters, Debbie (Robbie) Morris of South Shore, KY, Linda (Mark) Patton of Paducah, KY and Brenda Hamilton of South Shore, KY, four grandchildren, Benjamin Hamilton, Kayla Dudley, Matthew Morris, and Kara Patton, four great-grandchildren, Dallas Hamilton, Elissa Hamilton, Adaliee Dudley and Landon Bryson.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 19, 2021, at the Roberson Funeral Home in South Shore with Brother David Bentley, officiating. Burial will follow in Warnock Cemetery, Greenup, KY. Friends may call at the funeral home from 6 till 8 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 18, 2021, and from 11 a.m. till the service hour at 1 p.m. on Tuesday. Due to Covid restrictions mask and social distancing are required.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Allen Chapel Church of Christ or the Epilepsy Foundation of America.
