Betty Lou Burns, 85 of Minford passed away Friday, April 15, 2022 at Portsmouth Health & Rehab in Portsmouth. She was born August 19, 1936, in Rubyville, a daughter of the late Coy and Eula Horsley Wright. Betty was a Clay High School graduate in the Class of 1953, a homemaker, and a member of Ohio Valley United Baptist Church.
Betty is survived by one daughter, Donna (Kenneth “Gene”) Dietrich; two grandchildren, Chelsea “Blake” Dietrich, Maddison Dietrich; one sister, Margie Hazel Adkins; two brothers, Claude Wright and Ronald Coy (Julie) Wright; a sister-in-law, Janice Wright; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Eugene Burns; a grandson, Chance Coy Dietrich; one sister, Audrey Beatrice Moulton; three brothers, George Melwood Wright, Luther O’Dell Wright; Tony Edwin Wright in infancy, and a sister-in-law, Shirley Wright.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Saturday April 23, 2022 at Erwin-Dodson-Allen Funeral Home in Minford with Pastor Larry Salyers officiating. Burial will be in Universal Cemetery in Rubyville. Friends may call at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. prior to the service. Online condolences may be sent to www.edafh.com.
