Betty Lou Ratliff, 82, of South Shore, KY., went to be with her Lord Wednesday, July 16, 2025, at her residence. She was born October 31, 1942, in Chester, PA., a daughter of the late Carl and Edria Aldridge Taylor.
Betty Lou was a Homemaker, a member of South Shore First Church of God. She loved church, she was a Bible School Director and Choir Director, throughout the years she loved to babysit, sing at funerals and weddings.
Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, whom she was married to for 65 years, Boyd Ratliff; two sisters, Donna Horsley and Carla McKenzie; one son-in-law, Don Hensley; two brothers-in-law, John “Red” McKenzie and Winford Horsley.
Left behind to cherish her memory are two daughters, Tammy Hensley of South Shore, KY., and Tracy (John) Glockner of Portsmouth, OH; one son, Anthony (Brenda) Ratliff of South Shore, KY; one brother, Robert (Beth) Taylor of Wheelersburg, OH; ten grandchildren, Davi Jo (Brandon) Craycraft, Alex (Ashley) Glockner, Sarah (Kyle) Acton, Allison (Matthew) Cain, Ryan (Jayla) Glockner, Maisy Glockner, Jake (Becca) Hensley, David (Brandi) Hensley, Lora (Mike) Gampp and Jay (Kim) Hensley; along with several other nieces, nephews, family and friends who will sadly miss her.
Funeral services will be 11 A.M. Tuesday, July 22, 2025, at the South Shore First Church of God in South Shore, KY., 187 Main Street South Shore, KY 41175, with Donny McKenzie officiating. Burial will follow at MT Zion Cemetery in South Shore, KY. Visitation will be at the Church on Monday, July 21, 2025 from 6 P.M. until 8 P.M and on Tuesday at the church one hour before the service hour.
