Beulah Bazler, 93, of Portsmouth passed peacefully to be with her Heavenly Father on June 12, 2023 at Rosemount Pavilion Retirement Center.
Born January 28, 1930 in Greenup, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Melvin and Della Stephenson. She was married to the late James Bazler on April 21, 1949. They were devoted to each other for over sixty years and were proud parents of three sons.
Beulah was a graduate of Portsmouth East High School and was employed by Selby Shoe Factory prior to being a mother and homemaker. She resided in West Portsmouth for over seventy years and was a member of Carey’s Run Church of Christ. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her sisters Marie (Albert) Stout, Sadie (Eli) Fitzpatrick, and Wilma (Bud) Ferguson and a grandson Larry Bazler II.
Surviving relatives include her three sons: Dennis (Debbie) Bazler of West Portsmouth, Larry Bazler of Minford, and Anthony (Barbie) Bazler of Portsmouth. She had eight grandchildren Missy (JD) Yazell of West Portsmouth, Denise Leport of Columbus, Rachel (Brad) Smith of West Portsmouth, Kane (Crystal) Bazler of McDermott, Nathan (Sara Beth) Bazler of Mount Vernon, Anthony II (Amber) Bazler of Dayton, and Aaron Bazler of Sault St. Marie, Michigan. She has twelve great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
Friends may call between the hours of 11:00 am – 12:00 pm, Thursday, June 15, 2023, at Daehler Funeral Home. The celebration of life will take place, immediately following, at 12:00pm at the Funeral Home, officiated by Mark Seavers. She will be laid to rest beside her husband at Siloam Cemetery in Greenup, Kentucky.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Carey’s Run Church of Christ in West Portsmouth.
