An unusual late-night 911 call sent deputies to West Portsmouth after a caller reported a man attempting to drive a four-wheeler up the guide wire of a telephone pole.
According to the Scioto County Sheriff’s Office, the caller disconnected before dispatchers could obtain additional details, including the man’s identity or condition.
SCDN requested and received the 911 call. The female caller said he appeared to be tweaking out of his head. Later in the call, she said “He’s out of his f-ing mind.”
Despite the lack of information, a deputy responded to the area to investigate the report. Upon arrival, the deputy determined the situation required medical attention and requested an ambulance.
EMS transported the man to a local hospital for treatment. Authorities did not release details on the man’s condition or what led to the incident.
