1. Bizarre Threats at the Malt Shop
Just before 8:30 pm, the manager of the Malt Shop on the Scioto Trail said a man called into the restaurant and told her to come outside and leave her employees. He advised he was”‘going to take care of business”, then said, “Click, click, boom, boom, that’s what I do.”
Officers responded to the business and called the number the call came from back. The man on the other end was incoherent and accused the officer of being a spam caller.
Police were unable to get any information about the suspect.
2. Woman Flees Rehab – Relatives Call Cops
Just after 10 pm, a Portsmouth man contacted PPD to report his aunt was on his porch. However, he reported she’s supposed to be on house arrest undergoing court-ordered rehab.
When officers arrived at the scene, they took the woman into custody. She told police she was pregnant, so they removed the cuffs, and medics transported her to SOMC for a medical check.
The hospital cleared her, and officers took her to the Scioto County Jail.
3. Road Rage in Wheelersburg
Just after 8:30 am, Scioto County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a report that a man hit a woman during an altercation over a traffic accident at Green and Bulwer Streets.
Deputies and OSP responded to the scene and were able to locate a nearby home that had video footage of the incident.
