A little boy turned up on a Wheelersburg man’s porch around 4:30 pm saying that his father had beat him. The man said the child was crying and refusing to go home.
The man went across the street to his neighbor’s house to speak to the father, who admitted he did hit the child’s behind. However, the child refused to go home.
When Deputies arrived on the scene, they spoke to the father and the child. They saw no sign of abuse but said the child was very emotional due to having some hard times.

The dad decided it would be best for the child to spend the weekend with his grandparents.
