Deputies investigated after a brother allegedly opened fire in a dispute over junked automobiles.
It all started with a hang-up call to Lawrence County 911, where someone screamed and said they’d been shot at before hanging up.
When officers arrived on the scene, a woman said her stepbrother had come to her mother’s home and was taking old car motors and other junk to scrap. She said he started pulling out a truck frame that belonged to her mother. She said her mother did not want to scrap the frame.
She said she told her stepbrother that another brother would call the police, and her stepbrother pulled out a gun, pointed it at her, and threatened to shoot her.
The brother backed up his sister’s stories and said their stepbrother had fired shots in their direction before taking off in the direction of Scioto County. They told police the stepbrother lived in Kentucky.
Officers took information for a report and said they would try to contact the stepbrother for more information.
