A Scioto Trail resident got the shock of her life when she discovered an uninvited guest inside her home! The 911 call came in just after 9 a.m., setting off a wild manhunt that stretched across multiple city blocks.
The woman told dispatchers that a man in a red jacket and shorts had broken into her house. When discovered, the suspect bolted — ditching his jacket and fleeing toward 28th Street. A man was spotted chasing him through the neighborhood as he weaved through yards, tried to lose officers on Blue Rock, and finally sprinted up the hill at the end of South Cedar.
But he didn’t get far.
👮 BUSTED AT GUNPOINT
Portsmouth Police caught up with the suspect at 9:25 a.m., drawing their weapons and holding him at gunpoint until he could be cuffed. Witnesses on the scene positively identified him as 39-year-old Danny Fitzgerald of Lucasville.
