A burglar attempted to bust their way into County Store Foods on St. Rt. 140 in South Webster, but a burglar alarm put an end to that plan.

The alarm went off just before 4 am. When an officer arrived on the scene, they noticed the front door glass was spiderwebbed from a break-in attempt, but it didn’t appear the crooks got in.
Officers searched the area, and the owner arrived on the scene to check the security footage. The footage showed someone throwing a large stone at the door. The owners said they hadn’t had any problems with employees or customers lately and they would just get the door replaced.
