It was a full slate for first responders in Scioto County on Monday, June 9, as emergency medical crews stayed on the move, deputies tackled a variety of calls, and several communities reported criminal activity or public disturbances. In total, there were 70 logged incidents across the county involving EMS, fire, and law enforcement.
🔥 EMS Calls Dominate Monday
EMS personnel were dispatched to 34 medical emergencies across the county, making up nearly half of all calls. Here’s a breakdown:
- Transported to medical facilities (25 calls): Locations included Great Meadow Road, Rosemount Road, Longview Avenue, Gallia Pike, and Big Bear Creek Road.
- Non-transport or canceled runs (9 calls): A few calls to places like Euclid Avenue and Newsome’s Auto Parts on State Route 335 did not result in patient transport.
- Assists at care facilities: Transport runs were made from locations like the Randall House on Pirate Drive, Rosemount Pavilion, and Woodgate Apartments.
Scioto County’s EMS teams clearly had their hands full, covering everything from residential neighborhoods to roadside incidents.

❗ Transparency Takes a Hit
In early 2025, the Scioto County Sheriff’s Office stopped providing detailed call logs to Scioto County Daily News. This illegal decision has limited our ability to deliver the same level of detailed public safety reporting readers have come to expect.
While we can no longer bring you the full stories behind each call, we remain committed to transparency. As long as data is available, we’ll continue to track public safety incidents and keep our readers informed.
