A witness contacted Scioto County Sheriff’s Deputies at 6:30 am to say he’d spotted a person who’d been missing since 2012 at the Super 8 on US 23. The caller wanted to speak to a particular detective.
While dispatch was on the phone with the caller, his friend called in on another line and asked for a deputy because they felt it was necessary.
A deputy responded to the scene, and the witness said they believed the missing person was someone who’d disappeared from Pennsylvania. They gave the officer a room number.

An officer contacted the suspected missing person. The woman offered to let the officer look at her identification to prove she was not the missing person.
