Carla L. (Clausing) Blevins, age 75, of Franklin Furnace, passed away on March 17, 2026, at SOMC Hospice Center. Carla was born on July 31, 1950, in Portsmouth, Ohio to Henry and Dorothy (Kennedy) Clausing who preceded her in death.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Donald P. Blevins, infant daughter, step-son, Donald Blevins, Jr., step-daughter, Susan (Blevins) Athey, and step-granddaughter, Alicia Walker.
Carla was a graduate of Clay High School in the class of 1968. She worked at Harts Family Center and Big Bear and retired from Krogers in Wheelersburg as a pharmacy technician in 2013.
She is survived by her son, Heathe Andrew (Karen) Blevins and step-grandson, Cody Kuehner, of Crowley, Texas, and a step great-granddaughter, Vivian Walker.
One of 11 siblings, Carla was preceded in death by her brother, James Clausing and sisters, Elaine Queen and Sue Ellen Goldfarb. She is survived by brothers Ken (Kay) Clausing, Tom (Mimi) Clausing, Dan (Liz) Clausing, Paul Clausing, and sisters Lisa (Mark) Greene, Marsha Gulley, and Brenda Sommer, and many nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews.
She loved her “fur babies” and is also survived by her two precious pups, Yum-yum and Pippy-Lee.
Visitation will be held on March 19th at Brant Funeral Home in Sciotoville, from
10 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. with a short service to follow.
Burial will take place at Haverhill Cemetery in Haverhill, Ohio immediately following the service.
